“Can acupuncture help with that?” The short answer is “Yes!” I see patients every day with a wide variety of complaints, from the common cold, to irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, arthritis, anxiety, hot flashes, to allergies. PAIN MANAGEMENT

Pain management and treatment of orthopedic injuries are the primary reasons patients seek out acupuncture today. I’ve helped countless individuals avoid surgery, speed up healing after surgery/injury, manage pain without opiates, and get back to their daily activities and participation in sports and exercise routines through the precision use of motor and trigger point therapy (i.e. “dry needling”) and the application of electroacupuncture medicine, enhanced with traditional acupuncture. These treatments are often combined with additional modalities such as cupping, gua sha, and tui na (i.e. medical massage). Pain management is a specialty of mine, and I continue to dedicate many hours a year to continuing education which focuses on the most researched, effective methods of care.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

An increasing number of people are seeking natural alternatives to facial rejuvenation. Enter: Cosmetic Acupuncture! These treatments consist of 90 minutes of facial and full-body pampering which stimulate collagen and elastin production, support facial muscles, release tension that contributes to fine lines, and systemically balance fluid metabolism while decreasing inflammation. With training and certification received under renowned facial rejuvenation acupuncturist Michelle Gellis, my full cosmetic acupuncture treatments (including both facial and body points) are enhanced with the application of Celluma light therapy technology, along with facial cupping and jade gua sha. For maximum benefit, I recommend scheduling a minimum of 4 weekly treatments, as collagen takes 28 days to form once the process is stimulated. FERTILITY MEDICINE

Struggles with fertility are on the rise, nationwide. Whether you’re still trying naturally, or have moved on to IUI or IVF, acupuncture and herbal medicine are proven to enhance your chances of conception by regulating the menstrual cycle, increasing blood flow to the endometrium and ovaries, optimizing the hypothalamic pituitary axis, increasing sperm count/motility/morphology, and decreasing stress and inflammation.

Having gone through the process of IVF and gestational surrogacy myself, I know better than to tell you to “just relax!” Instead, I serve as an “Infertility Doula” to many of my patients while we work together to help them conceive, providing emotional support as well as medical support. I have a working relationship with many of the Bay Area’s Reproductive Endocrinologists, and you’ll never have to explain to me what FSH/LH/AMH/SHG/HSG/trigger shot/Follistim/Cetrotide/Lupron/etc mean! I support all who are trying to conceive, via any method, without discrimination.
